The MANAGEMENTPROT is based on the POPT, a normative personality profile which was developed on a computer in the late 1970’s using advanced statistical methods. It was originally focused on performance management but has evolved into a performance and people management tool.

Please note: For sales management positions we recommend candidates take POP 6.0 AND Manager Pro. According to Chet Holmes, you can hire a great salesperson, put them in a management position and they may be unable to manage others. But, in Chet’s experience, he’s never seen a good sales manager who was not first a great sales person. To be a great sales manager one must possess the traits of great salespeople along with the traits of a manager and leader.

We recommend POP 6.0 to determine whether the candidate has the right sales profile and then additionally you would want to administer Management Pro to determine whether they have the proper management and leadership qualities.

Customization and Validation of the MANAGEMENTPROT

All profiles we offer are validated for each specific business culture for each specific client. A process called a ‘validation study’ is utilized to do this. A validation study is a scientific review of the psychometric tool (and any other aspects of a selection system) to determine that it measures what is says it is measuring and is related to performance in that specific business culture. The MANAGEMENTPROT is subjected to this validation to ensure that it provides only the most appropriate and reliable assessment for each client.

The MANAGEMENTPROT can also be customized to reflect the specific management culture and succession planning needs of a client.
