Here’s the question for you? Who is your target buyer? If you serve everyone, you’re probably missing an opportunity to get focused on a niche that your company could dominate. Once you know who that buyer is, it’s much easier to target them with a campaign. This is something that we battle with our clients all the time.

People don’t wanna niche. They’re afraid to niche, but I’ll give you a really good example of this. So I go back to Tom Shaft, who I love and adore a brilliant strategist. He worked with my father for several years. Then he went off and created his own business, him and Gene McNaughton. Another one that used to be one of our executives in CHI, they had a client that client had 969.

Clients and it produced, a high eight figure business. When they analyze those 969 clients, they realized that 91% of their revenue was generated by only 13 of their 969 clients. So they came back and they [00:01:00] suggested, we think you should fire 950 of your clients. Can you imagine getting that kind of information?

They’re like, why would we ever do that? That’s absolutely absurd. 91% of your revenue comes from only 13. It would free up so much of your organization. They’re just doing busy work. It’s not actually producing much of a difference. Then they said, we think you should focus on this one client could double your sales.

Low and behold, they focused on that one client. And within the year they doubled sales from one new client. They went from eight figures to breaking the nine figure threshold. So when you think you have to do all of these different things to get all of these people, what if you just niche down and you focus on a very few or focused on a target market, you can do that today with the ability of the internet.
